Trama: Kim Shin è un giovane che non riesce a tenersi un lavoro; nonostante questo è amato dalla famiglia e dalla sua storica fidanzata Kyung Ah. La sua vita viene stravolta quando un giornalista diffama l'azienda del fratello maggiore di Shin, lo porta alla bancarotta e, alla fine, al suicidio.
Shin cerca vendetta minacciando il giornalista. Purtroppo però tutto quello che ottiene è una condanna per tentato omicidio.
Inizia così la sua vita in carcere dove avrà molto tempo per progettare la sua vendetta. Uscito di prigione inizierà a cercare i responsabili della morte del fratello e questo lo porterà a scontrarsi con Chae Do Woo, spietato uomo d'affari che non esita a usare mezzi illeciti per ottenere ciò che vuole. Durante questa ricerca Shin troverà molti amici e alleati che lo aiuteranno a raggiungere il suo scopo e che lo porteranno a crescere.

Synopsis: Kim Shin is a man that can't keep a job for a long time. However, he is really loved by his family and his girlfriend Kyung Ah.
One day, after defamatory news by a corrupted journalist, his brother's company goes bankrupt and Shin's brother kills himself.
Shin tries to avenge his brother by threatening the journalist but this only leads him to prison. There he has a lot of time to plan his revenge.
Once out of prison Shin starts his research for the ones that are responsible for his brother's death. He will soon start a battle with Chae Do Woo, a merciless business man, who would do everything to achieve what he wants. During his research Shin finds some friends that will help him with his revenge and will help him grow.

"A Man's Story" è un ottimo action-drama, non per nulla ha vinto il premio come "Best Drama 2009". La trama scritta sopra copre solo i primi episodi, non mi sono voluta dilungare oltre per non rovinare i colpi di scena, che sono molti. Il bello di questo drama è proprio l'imprevedibilità e la cura dei dettagli. Anche i personaggi secondari sono curati e rendono la storia, spesso drammatica, più leggera e godibile. Un esempio? Le due nipotine di Shin, Yuri e Nuri, non sono personaggi utili ai fini dello svolgimento della storia, ma sono adorabili e ti strappano un sorriso. Anche il personaggio di Kyung Tae o Mazinga,
è semplicemente stupendo e molto ben interpretato da Park Ki Woong.

"A Man's Story" is a wonderful action-drama that won the "2009 Best Drama Award". The synopsis above is only about the first episodes of the drama. The plot is really unexpected and well written. The characters are very good and lovely, like the little girls, Yuri and Nuri. They are not relevant for the story but they are so cute. They are important to make the story less dramatic. Also Kyung Tae or Mazinga is totally cute and lovely and Park Ki Woong plays it really well.
